Governance and
administration
Governance and administration of the LHCADL is vested with The Alberta Library (TAL). An LHCADL Steering Committee is in place, supported by a number of expert teams, all of which enjoy representation from the spectrum of postsecondary libraries in Alberta. A cross-institutional Advisory Council composed of presidents, vice-presidents, provosts or other senior academic officers has been established to ensure institutional participation and accountability.
This governance and administration structure ensures consultation and transparency to the participating libraries and their host institutions, as well as to the Government of Alberta.
Participating
Institutions
The LHCADL intiative is delivered by The Alberta Library through 35 participating postsecondary institutions in the Province, including private and public not-for-profit universities, colleges, technical schools and First Nations colleges. The program represents a radical change to the breadth and depth of electronic resources available through most of the participating institions.
All Albertans have access to the Lois Hole Campus Alberta Digital Library onsite at participating postsecondary libraries.
