About LHCADL Information Literacy
and Awareness Committee
The LHCADL Information Literacy and Awareness Committee provides promotion and awareness of the Lois Hole Campus Alberta Digital Library initiative and offers training and information literacy services to libraries at participating institutions so that they may better serve their constituents.
To ensure that licensed and digitized materials are woven into the learning fabric of our province, this committee works with TAL staff to inform our various communities as materials become available and to develop the information literacy tools and workshops to ensure that students, instructors, and the general public take full advantage of the new resources.
The committee is exploring training needs and professional development opportunities for the post secondary library community as well as the development of a Toolkit of materials to help optimize the use of new resources. Though developed with the needs of library and teaching staff in mind, these materials are freely available on the LHCADL web page for the benefit of everyone.
